"ABOUT THE AUTHOR . . .
" Leo C. Stine is Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Western Michigan University. He is uniquely qualified to write the history for WMU for several reasons. He joined Western's faculty in 1952 when the institution was celebrating its fiftieth year of existence. His service covered the entire 25 year period that is chronicled in the book. It included various administrative assignments as well as classroom teaching and appointment as Distinguished Professor of Political Science. Dr. Stine received his B.Ed. from Illinois State University and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois.
